The series launches with The Rambling Roses Gardening Club , the warm and joyful story of Bonnie Fletcher, who catches her husband kissing the party planner at her own sixtieth birthday party and decides she’s had enough of being a wallflower.

Within a fortnight, she’s taken a job in the wilds of Northumberland as housekeeper to Clara, a fiery ninety-two-year-old with an overgrown garden, a prickly nephew and a past full of secrets. As Bonnie sets out to revive Clara’s old village gardening club, the Rambling Roses, she discovers the unexpected pleasures of friendship, love and life after sixty.
